TEXAS AQUARIUM & BEACH ENGAGEMENT SESSION
As Nina, Mario, and I sat over coffee discussing their engagement session, my ears perked when Nina brought up the aquarium. Shooting at the Texas State Aquarium has been on my bucket list of shoot locations since I moved to Corpus a little over a year ago! So a few emails and a couple of months later we found ourselves ready to roll at the Aquarium for their session.
As we waited for our session to begin we had some fun on the escalator!
Okay so the way this works is that you get one hour in the aquarium and an escort (to make sure you follow the rules)! My family and I came a few weeks beforehand. I scouted then, so I was ready for the challenge! After our friendly staff escort arrived we were off!! Our first stop was the TOP! And if you haven’t seen it then you’ll be blown away by the view!
Check out that view of the Harbor Bridge!!
The top level of the aquarium has an amazing sun roof that sheds the most glorious light into the building! It also houses the flamingoes, a sloth (she was hiding somewhere asleep), waterfalls, and a beautifully unique teepee of sticks…
See what I mean?! Not sure what that is but I think its super cool!
Our next stop………Nina’s favorite…..the dolphins!! I was super stoked about this part too. I was just hoping that they would be up for some photos and let me tell you they did not disappoint!
You know what else is cool about the aquarium? We were able to park under the soon to be gone harbor bridge!
This session was an absolute blast for me!! I’m so happy that Nina and Mario chose me to be their photographer and I can’t wait for their wedding next April!
